Simon feels his experience working at the Welcome Centre has helped him reflect on his own experiences as a migrant coming from the UK.

So, meeting some of the Welcome Centre’s clients and hearing the hurdles they’ve gone through, it’s really eye opening."

Anthony volunteers as a Crisis Support worker. He supports people over the phone who may be facing a mental health crisis, and those who call asking for advice about a loved one or friend in trouble.

Before long, Fae was making use of her skills volunteering as an Emergency Relief interviewer. After a few weeks she began volunteering in Grovedale’s Education program.
